MINISTER RUBY MELTON-PORTIS

Ruby Melton was born in Cameron, Texas and raised in Sacramento, California by her Mother;
she is the fourth of four siblings.  Ruby lost her only brother in 1980 and her second oldest sister
in 1984.  She has one sibling left.

Ruby was raised in church and accepted Christ at an early age at the Paradise Missionary
Baptist Church under the tutelage of Dr. Elbert Thames.

In 1973 she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and was called into the gospel ministry in
1975.  Ruby was raised a P.K.’s Kid (preacher kid) and can relate to Pastors’ children really well.

Ruby is a member of Calvary Christian Center (South) in Elk Grove, California and her pastor is
Dr. Phillip George Goudeaux.  She is a license and ordained minister.  In 2009 she graduated
from the School of Ministry and has taught New Membership Classes and the School of Leaders
classes and works on the Prayer Team and is in charge of the Intercessory Prayer.  Ruby has
her own G-12 Group that meets in her home once a month called Woman II Woman.

Ruby has a BA in Theology and a Master’s in Christian Counseling from Sacramento Theological
Seminary and Bible College in Sacramento, California and will receive her Doctrine degree in
May, 2012.  She has taught Christian Education and is currently teaching The Pentateuch at
Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College.

Ruby also holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and has her Instructional Permit.  Ruby
has worked with children since 1980.  She has worked for The City of Sacramento, Parks and
Recreation division since July 5, 1988 as a Program Coordinator.  She has touched so many
children lives and has received numerous awards and she was presented with the Grandma’s
Hands Tribute Award on April 10, 2010.  Ruby has mentored over 500 plus children in her 19 and
½ years with the Park and Recreation Division.

In September 2007 she transferred to The Sacramento City Fire Department and works in
Customer Service.  She is a certified Fire Chaplain and loves her job as a people’s person.

On December 24, 2011 Ruby married Mr. Cardell C. Portis in Sacramento, California.

Evangelist Regina Nicole Wade

Evangelist Regina Nicole Wade is a woman of God. She is saved and filled with the gift of the Holy
Spirit. She is the Mother of three lovely children; with one child that preceded her in death in 2010.
Evangelist Wade is the Grandmother of three grandsons and two granddaughters.
Gaining the respect of her peers as a Mighty Woman of God, it is well noted that she is a Prayer
Warrior and a Warrior for Jesus Christ. With much prayer and fasting she is gifted prophetically
and walks in the arena of prophetic prayer.
Her accomplishments are many in the prayer arena and she has humbled herself to the Father
and seeks His directions for her life.
The Lord birthed Ministry in her and “Sound The Alarm Prayer Ministries” was born in 1998. God
has graced her threefold and she also works as an advocate for children & youth of violent
crimes.  

She is well aware that a threefold cord is not easily broken Ecclesiastes 4:12, Evangelist Wade's
desire is to seek the face of God as she prays for instructions from the Heavenly Father.
With many trials and tribulations; she has learned how to press towards the mark of the high
calling in Christ Jesus. She is also the founder of “Broken Hearts Mended”.
Broken Hearts Mended, is a ministry of love for young boys who have loss their parents to
violence and suffer from a broken heart and low self esteem. Evangelist Wade, loss both of her
parents at an early age and knows all too well the ache of a broken heart.  
Evangelist Wade is well acquainted with pain, rejection and "aloneness". She has learned the key
to “aloneness” and it is in this place that she has found the very essence of who she is in God.
She is also the founder of the “Ryan Lee Benjamin Mcphee Athletic Scholarship Program”,
partnering with the Sacramento Urban League in 2011. She is a Proverbs 3:5-6 Woman of God.
Her Favorite colors are, pink, yellow and red. These colors reflect the brightness of her spirit and
her walk with Christ. Evangelist Wade’s future is so bright that she walks with confidence in the
Lord that He will guide her and lead her in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Her delightful moments are praying and spending time with her Grandchildren.
Daily, she learns to give and to share her knowledge of prayer and faith with others that cross her
pathway.

Evangelist Wade is furthering her education as a student at Epic Bible College and is learning
how to walk by faith in depth, as she studies the word of God.
EVANGELIST DEBORAH MADDEN

Evangelist Deborah Madden is the firstborn to the union of Elder Solomon Irving and Mother
Laura Irving; born in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost on
Easter Sunday Morning, in the year 1974, at Smith Temple Church of God in Christ, in Tyler,
Texas, under the pastorage of the Late Superintendent, Pastor W.B. Bookman.

Evangelist Madden was born and raised in the Church of God in Christ.  When she was a child,
while her father served in the military, her father pastored Grove Street Church of God in Christ,
in Champaign, Illinois, for six years, until he was transferred to New York.  After his retirement
from the service, Elder Irving served as pastor of Williams Memorial Church of God in Christ, in
Sacramento, California, for 20 years.  It was during her father’s pastorage of Williams Memorial
that she met her husband, Elder Richard Madden, in October 1991.  Her father married them on
June 13, 1992.

God anointed Evangelist Madden to sing at an early age.  To perfect her gift, she went on to
study music in New York.  She took vocal lessons under Professor Renata Boothe.  She has
sung to an audience of Majors and Generals in the United States Air Force and has also sung in
competitions on stages in New York, winning awards and trophies.  

In her travels as an evangelist, she has experienced God’s awesome power.  When sharing her
testimony and singing under the anointing, she has seen people delivered and set free by the
power of the Holy Ghost, with her proclaiming “When Nothing or No One Else Could Help, Love
Lifted Me”.
As a willing worker and licensed Evangelist in the Church of God in Christ, she has served faithfully in the California Valley Jurisdiction as the State
CWC President, under the leadership of the Late Bishop W.S. Wilson and Supervisor, Mother B. McGee, in Fresno, California.  She also served in
the California Evangel Jurisdiction as the State YWCC President, under the leadership of Bishop Larry J. Magathen and Supervisor, Mother Betty
Walker.  She later served as the State Choir President under the Bishop Larry J. Magathen and, at that time, Supervisor, Mother Faidest Wagoner,
in Oakland, California.  Her husband, Elder Richard Madden, served faithfully as Chief and Personal Adjutant to the Bishop Larry J. Magathen in the
California Evangel Jurisdiction.  But, because of health reasons, she and her husband slowed down the traveling up and down the highway and
decided to stay home, in Sacramento, California.  They now serve faithfully as members of Progressive Church of God in Christ, in Sacramento,
California, under the pastorage of Superintendent B.L. Toliver.

Evangelist Madden has one daughter, Michele; and two energetic grandsons, Dante and Josiah; and a wonderful husband, who has supported her
in her ministry.

FIRST LADY PHYLLIS THOMAS

Missionary Phyllis Thomas is the First Lady of Showers of Blessings Church located in Sacramento,
California.  As a Pastor’s wife, her goal is to be the woman of wisdom God has appointed to serve
with holiness and righteousness as an example to all people but especially women.  Her personal
goal is to win thousands of souls for the kingdom of God and to please God in everything that she
does.

Lady P. Thomas continues to be the pinnacle of redemptive success.  She has been saved for 30
years and has been a licensed Evangelist/Missionary for 25 years.  She has been married for 29
years and this holy union is still considered a true work of God’s art.  Lady P. Thomas is a recipient
of a G.O.D. Degree (God given opportunity to deliver His word).  She has also been inducted into
the C.B.G. (Chosen by God) Club for a lifetime of service. Lady P. Thomas is an author of the book
entitled – “Be B.A.D. Blessed Anointed and Delivered through Prayer” and most recently the “Be B.
A.D. Prayer Journal and Alphabet Affirmations/Prayer Cards and the Alphabet Song CD.  Her
objective is to be a supporter, encourager, motivator, and an intercessor to those she comes in
contact with.

Lady P. Thomas serves in various capacities in her local Church, such as, Bible Study Teacher,
Ministerial Alliance/Missionary Group President, Women’s Department President/Advisor, Prayer
Warrior and Spiritual Guidance Counselor. However, her most challenging, yet rewarding ministry is
that of a Pastor’s wife. Lady P. Thomas enjoys many facets of church life, but her favorite spiritual
activities includes praying, studying, teaching and preaching the word of God as well as motivating
people to be the best that they can be in God.

Lady P. Thomas is not only an Author, but she has been employed with the State of California for
over 33 years and she is a Real Estate Professional.  Although Lady P. Thomas wears many hats,
she encourages herself with the word of God that says; “I can do all things through Christ that
strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

PASTOR MELVIN WILLIAMS

Pastor Melvin Williams serves as the founding and Senior Pastor of the Temple Of Faith New
Testament Church Of God In Christ Ministries of Sacramento, California.  He is described as an
apostolic strategist, communicator, teacher, thinker, and progressive leader.   He possesses a
passion towards ministering the Word of God in a clear, provocative, and revelatory manner that
is well received by all generations and cultural groups.  The merging of his spiritual journey and
that of social science has served to facilitate a ministry that reaches and embraces the
disenfranchised, the poor, the youth, the elderly, and the marginalized.  Pastor Williams  has been
blessed to receive lifelong spiritual and academic mentorship through godly men and women; all
of whom have marked his life with excellent tutelage and impartation.




Pastor Williams have been married to the love of his life,  Lady Victoria O. Williams for 23 years.   
They are the parents of three children, a daughter Torie, thats in Heaven two sons Melvin II and
Denzel.  Lady Victoria nurtures and cares for her two granddaughters, Cinnamon & Sopreia  
Wade .

FIRST LADY LESA SWANIGAN

Lady Lesa Swanigan is the First Lady of the Greater Light Church in Sacramento,
California.  She has been married to Pastor O.J. Swanigan for 25 years, and is the
mother of two kingdom impacting young men.  In addition to serving as First Lady in a
dynamic ministry, Lady Lesa also operates alongside her Pastor/husband as his partner-
in-ministry.  She has been in ministry for 10 years and has been the guest speaker and
workshop facilitator at numerous conferences, retreats, and women’s events.

As a woman after God’s own heart and minister of the Gospel, Lady Lesa seeks to exhort
women and the body of Christ to walk in holiness and to fulfill the assignment God has
predestined for their lives.  She has a tremendous burden and passion to minister to the
needs of women and teach them how to apply the Word of God in their lives that they
may excel in every area of their life.  Her heart’s desire is for every woman to fully
comprehend God’s love for her and for her to know that she was created for an
awesome, divine purpose.    

Most of all, Lady Lesa is an anointed, Spirit-filled woman of God who walks in her
purpose and is committed to fulfilling her destiny.
FIRST LADY JEANETTA MCDOWELL

Jeanetta McDowell was born in Youngstown. Ohio. She currently serves and assists her
husband, Pastor Kevin McDowell in building their ministry, The carpenter House Church
of Elk Grove, Ca.  She is the mother of 4 children and 3 beautiful  grandchildren.
Jeanetta became a member of V.I.P. Stockton, Ca in 2000, under the leadership of
Bishop Rufus K. Turner and Lady Trena turner.  There she was a continuous support to
numerous ministry event and faithfully served as each opportunity presented itself.  

  On June 1, 2003, The McDowell’s were lead by the Spirit to work as part of a plant
team to launch a new church in Modesto.  This new ministry, V.I.P. of Modesto, was
birthed out of the Stockton Church under the leadership of Pastor Tylos Jackson Jr.  
Kevin and Jeanetta were diligent in their support of this new work.  Jeanetta served as
an armor bearer to first lady Pamela Jackson; as event coordinator, in charge of
hospitality ministry; she was a part of the praise team and had many other
responsibilities.  Jeanetta and Kevin (founders of “Bread of Heaven Ministry”) and their
family fed the homeless for 5 years.  They are committed to meeting the needs of
others.  First lady Mcdowell has the ability to organize pursue and encourage others
along the way.  She enjoys family gatherings, traveling and reaching out to others.  Her
desire is to continue reaching, stretching in every area to benefit and positively impact
each person she encounters
